It’s difficult to articulate exactly what Rory meant to me because I feel like no words will ever be adequate enough to do him justice. Rory was one of the kindest people I had ever met. He had a very grounding presence, and I always felt safe and comfortable being around him and sharing my life with him. He was also incredibly generous and talented. I miss his sweet, gentle energy…
One of my favorite memories of Rory is actually when we were on our initiation retreat with Jimmie in Oklahoma. I remember Jimmie had called us outside to gather, and as we were all heading to this one particular spot, all I remember is Rory running past me just so carefree and his beautiful hair bouncing along in the wind. I was so captivated by his beauty (physical and spiritual), and I looked around and caught Jimmie captivated by the same image. We caught each other’s eyes and laughed at this moment we were able to witness—Rory living his best life.
That’s how I’ll always remember Rory—in the moment.
Blessed journeys, my friend. I hope we meet again some day <3
